Ambition

This picture is a few weeks old, but I don't think I've posted it yet. Roz likes to mimic everything we do now- cooking at her stove, talking on the phone/remote control, typing on the computer, feeding herself, and reading.
Her taste in books can be quite ambitious at times.

Stunt girl

She's quite a daredevil- can't wait to see what other dangerous adventures she tries (repeatedly) in life.

Swing napping

We had great weather this weekend, and Rosalyn was adamant about enjoying every minute. Yesterday she was so tired and ready for a nap, but she was not willing to give up the great outdoors. I rolled up a blanket and tucked it under her head so my weekend warrior could get a little shut-eye without having to give up and go inside.

Warm weather!!!!

Yesterday when I got home from school and Corey and Roz got home from her doctor appt (she's all good), it was still sunny and the warmest day we'd had in a long time. So we tested out Rozi's new wagon, and it was a hit!
We still loaded it down with blankets because there was a slight chill in the air, but it was a beautiful afternoon walk.
The farmers market and more outside play today- more photos coming soon.

Absolute silliness

What can I say- my child is a silly monkey!

Playing coy

My dad arrived yesterday morning to help us get through the week since Roz is out of daycare due to a contagious (to other babies) rash- and she has an ear infection. Corey and I both have hectic school/work weeks.
We're blessed to have so much supportive family because Corey's parents even volunteered to come down from Michigan to help.
When my dad arrived yesterday morning, Roz was acting very shy and batting her eyes at him. She's going to be a big flirt when she gets older- wait, I take that back: she already is a big flirt! :)

PB&J

Roz loves her PB&J- literally. She licks the peanut butter and jelly off the toast (aka smears it on her face) and crumbles the bread around her.

Fun at the aquarium

More video of the aquarium- Roz loved watching all of the fish and other sea creatures swim around. They all loved showing off for their audience, including the divers who were in there waving to Roz and pretending to suck their thumbs to mimic her when we were sitting by the glass. :)

Fun at the aquarium

I think we spent about an hour in this room watching the fish- mostly on the floor by the glass. They were really showing off!

Snow!

On Friday, we had the best snow I've ever seen in Georgia. It was light and fluffy, and great for snowballs and snowpeople.
Roz was adamant about wanting to be outside in the snow, but equally adamant about not wanting to wear a hat or hood, so Corey stood out there with an umbrella to keep her head dry. :)

Then as it got a little cooler and we had been out there for a while, he bundled her up in his coat like he had done about a year ago at the inauguration (he fit much better back then).

Rosalyn wasn't very interested in playing in the snow, but she liked watching Clint and Mary Alston build a snowman and have a snow fight. They also threw some snowballs at her, but that was only while she and I were inside looking out the picture window. She liked seeing the snowballs coming at the window. :)

I think they made quite a nice snowperson, with a carrot nose, craisin mouth, coal buttons, etc.

The good ole' days

Roz must miss the pre-standing days when we put her in this thing a lot- she's recently become fascinated with it again. She especially likes it in the evenings, so I wonder if she likes it because she doesn't have to put forth the energy to stand up but can still play with her toys. Efficient busybody-ness - now that's my girl!

Soccer time

Another video from our day of outdoor play (see previous post about playing hookey). She likes playing with the soccer ball, but she was already getting tired of it by the time I took the videos.

Playing hookey

Well, I think Roz is already very talented at playing hookey or Corey and I were overly concerned about her being "sick" this morning. We spent a large portion of the day outside, and she seemed happy and healthy except when she got cranky because she was tired and needed a nap. At least she picked a beautiful day to stay home "sick." We'll really have to watch that as she gets older. :)

Life skills

Rozi has a little cold, so we kept her home from daycare today and took her to the doctor just to make sure there wasn't more to it (trying to prevent another miserable trip to the hospital). We reduced her pulmicort (the nebulizer preventative asthma meds) last week, so she's been wheezing more too. So, we're back to twice a day breathing treatments, but hopefully nothing more serious. She's learning to blow her nose like a big girl so we don't have to keep wrestling each time I try to wipe her nose.

Pushing buttons

Roz likes electronics of all kinds. She likes typing on my computer, she carries around a remote as if it's a favorite toy, and she loves pushing buttons on the computer and other devices.

Creative

Roz still has to do breathing treatmets daily, but she's gotten so good at it that she can usually sit on the floor or her room and play while the machine runs (instead of us holding her still in the rocking chair). The other day she was playing with a container of cheerios when it was time for the breathing treatment, so I let her take it with her. She tried feeing herself cheerios through the holes of her mask. It didn't work well, but it was certainly a creative idea. :)

Fancy toilet paper

Corey's boss made a generous offer to all his employees to have his maid come clean each person's house one time this busy season. So, they came to our house Saturday and fancified our toilet paper by rolling the end into a flower. This has nothing to do with Roz, but Corey and I were highy amused. :)

Dinner and dancing

Roz enjoyed her dinnertime entertainment. (So did we!)
