Let Me Out!!!

All of our moods seems to swing with the weather lately, mainly because Roz likes being outdoors so much. She's quite cranky when it's too wet or cold to play outside. Earlier this week was one of those days. It looks kind of sunny in the video, but big rains had just cleared and it was really wet and icky outside, so Rosalyn hadn't gotten her outdoors fix. That evening, she was trying everything she could to get outside - sweet talking, fit-pitching, opening the door herself, etc.

Birdies

Roz loves birds (she takes after her Iffy), and gets so excited anytime she sees one. She was in heaven, and so giddy she could hardly control herself when we visited our friends Esther, Ethan and Sophia, and their "buh-dies" tonight. They are going to keep chickens for eggs, and their flock/brood/whatever has just hatched in the last week, so they have 9 adorable little chicks - and the best part is that Roz can touch them!

Egg head

My Little Leprechaun

We went to target last week to get some rainboots, and I decided that I needed longer socks to wear under mine. Being the week before St. Patti's, these were by the register. Roz found them in the laundry basket last night and wanted to play with them, so Corey put them on her. Ha ha.

She's Contagious

Rosalyn is highly contagious, but luckily it's just her sweet laughter and silliness. This was at my aunt's house in Savannah last weekend, and we had Corey on skype- Rozi loved skype

What's missing

Rosalyn tells us about the important thing missing from her first beach trip.

Wind storm

We survived the wind at the beach :)

Sand between Rozi's toes

Fun time in the sand!

Digging in the sand

Rosalyn's first time at the beach!
It was very cloudy and windy at first, but once the sun came out we got to play in the sand.

Daffodils

It's springtime! Daffodils are starting to bloom- yay!
Rosalyn and I are on our way to Savannah for the weekend with my mom, but we stopped in Macon to visit with my friend Mara. We ended up going to pick wild daffodils out in the country. They smell delicious- nothing like the ones in my yard.

Handy Rozi

In general, I hate gender-specific toys. Boys can play with ironing boards and vacuums, and I want Roz to feel free to play with trucks and tools. ...And she sure does like her tool set...

Traveling pianist

Rosalyn likes to play music on her toy piano. Rosalyn also looooves her doggies. So what could be better than carrying her piano over to play a concert for the dogs. However, since they had already polished off her leftover food, they were nowhere to be found! Rosalyn had to settle for an audience of only mommy (and all of her online viewers, of course!)

Backwards

Roz loves her little tricycle-like thing-not sure what to call it. She can't reach the pedals to go forward, but she likes pushing herself backward all over the yard, and she loves standing on the seat.

Bubbles

Among our many outdoor activities today - bubbles!

Plan B - not so bad

Today definitely didn't go as planned. Rosalyn and I headed to the Athens area for an afternoon birthday party, and I thought she would be ready for her morning nap in the car. Before we left, Corey told me she was definitely cranky an ready for a nap. We got in the car and she screamed for 45 min, so I pulled over to check her diaper, etc. When we got out of the car, I noticed her ear had puss draining out of it. Aparently she'd had another ear infection, and it perforated this morning. Poor baby!
So I talked to her dr office and they said we could go on to Athens, but we made an appointment to go in to see the dr tomorrow morning. When I strapped her bac in the car, she started back with the screaming, so we headed home becase I didn't think I could handle another hour of that heading to Athens, then another 2 hours on the way home.
We hated to miss the party, but she seems to be feeling fine now (with Tylenol, ear drops, and freedom of movement). We've spent the afternoon taking wagon rides, swinging, and throwing toys for the dogs in the backyard. Yay for warm weather!!!
Roz wanted to try out the non-baby swing, and she hung on quite well. I have a feeling that swingset will get LOTS of use in the next few months!

Boppa

Roz is learning to name people in pictures. She seems to like saying Boppa (Corey's stepdad) even when she's pointing at Mud (Corey's mom).

Paradox

Roz can be so serious sometimes, then absolutely silly the next moment. She's so much fun, and her sweet little laugh is so contagious!

Bath time

Rozi carefully bathes her toys before putting them to bed.

Who needs a shredder?

I'm thinking about listing our shredder on Craig's List- seems we don't need it anymore.
If it weren't for child labor laws, I would also list Rosalyn's services for hire. :)
