In other news, Rosalyn did a complete flip this morning... On accident. While I nursed Carsen on the couch, she was dancing around and practicing her tumbling moves. She was bending over with her hands on the floor and kicking her legs up, then she kicked too high, flipped over and landed on her back. Ouch. She was pretty insulted, but I don't think there was any lasting damage since she told me about 30 seconds later than a girl scout cookie would make it all better. :)

Solid foods
We've officially started solids - puréed quinoa and breastmilk. She seems to like it but got tired quickly.

Weekend fun
We had a fun weekend, with a visit from Auntie Chica on Friday and a visit from Iffy and Papa Saturday and Sunday. Here are photos of Rosalyn and Carsen hugging Iffy and being a little silly, Carsen trying to play with and watch a movie on Iffy's phone, and Rosalyn bundled up enough to enjoy an ice cream treat in spite of the cold weather.
Rosalyn also got to plant some of the first things in "her garden", but we don't have any photos of that because my hands were pretty dirty. She plants two types of carrots and some lettuce.

Teacher Rosalyn
Rosalyn teaches Carsen to stack and knock over the cups. I think Rosalyn enjoys revisiting these toys more than Carsen so far. ;)

Super Bowl
And by the way ... Rosalyn chose to cheer for the 49ers because that's where Michelle lives. :)
This is how we do super bowl
So I hadn't planned to watch the football game tonight and only vaguely realized it was tonight, but Corey wanted to watch, and Rosalyn wanted to watch with him. Specifically, Rosalyn wanted to be a cheerleader and insisted that cheerleaders must have pom-poms, so we made some out of colored tissue paper and she's ecstatic! Score one for team mom for thinking on my feet. :)
I also remembered that I bought a summer sausage in the shape of a football at the farmers market this fall and stuck it in the freezer, so Corey's excited about that.
And Carsen seems thrilled to be sitting on the couch like a big girl and watching her sister jump around and shake her Pom-poms.
Now for a little reading and watching commercials for mom. :)

More movies and live performance
We watched more movies with daddy and Aunt Megan today after Aunt Megan took Rosi to a live Clifford (the big red dog) show. Then we had a visit from my friend Mara who brought us some dance clothes that her daughter Eva who just turned 6 has grown out of. So Rosalyn has enjoyed putting on some shows with those dress up clothes tonight.
And Rosi and Carsen have enjoyed sister cuddle time on the couch. All-in-all, it's been a cuddly and performing arts kind of weekend so far. :)
