I gave Teagan her first full bath since the hospital today. She didn't mind too much.

Thanksgiving
We had a nice quiet Thanksgiving with Iffy, Papa, Uncle Clint and Aunt Megan.
Rosi and Carsen helped crumble bread and cornbread for dressing.

Introducing Teagan Adeline Self!
I'm sure everyone know already that Teagan joined us a little before midnight on Sunday 11/23. We came home from the hospital yesterday and have been settling in.
They were waiting outside when we arrived home.
Rosalyn and Carsen are both very excited in their own ways. Rosalyn stood on the porch yesterday afternoon signing Hallelujah at the top of her lungs, and yelling out "the baby was born" every time a car drove past.
Carsen has been calling Teagan "my baby" and constantly running over to look at her. They have both gotten to hold her several times and are being very gentle so far. Carsen is in love with her feet.
We made "birthday" cupcakes last night to celebrate Teagan's birth.
And they all got to wear their new matching pajamas last night.

Due date family fun
Teagan's due date was yesterday, and since she wasn't prepared to make her interest, we spent the day the second best way I could think of... A nice family time at the park and the botanical gardens.

Exercise
Rosi loved doing run club at school, and we're hoping they do a spring season.
They ran some laps, played running games and stretched at each weekly practice after school. She was very sad to learn that this was the last week until spring.
Carsen has been working on her core. The table that she uses to catapult herself onto the couch got moved just a little farther back than it was before. So she has to work harder and keeps getting stuck in this bridge position when she tries to climb into the couch. I'm sure this makes me an evil mother, so I haven't moved it back closer because it's so cute watching her. ;)
Speaking of exercise, we'll be heading out soon for some "walk the baby out" exercise at the botanical gardens and a nearby park.

Slumbering sweetness
This was supposed to post a few days ago...
Last night they slept together, and this is how I found them this morning, snuggly matching PJs and all.
Countdown to Baby 2014
My due date is Saturday. Rosalyn was 11 days early, Carsen 10 days late. Any gambles on when this baby will arrive?
I got a full inspection from Dr. Rosi tonight, including the belly, breasts (I guess she's worried about whether they will be ready for nursing) and legs. Then I got a "foot rub" and then a "back massage." She's a keeper!
Tonight is Carsen's third night in a row sleeping in Rosi's room, and she's taking over the bed one dozen stuffed animals at a time.

Gymnastics
I often run errands while Rosi is at gymnastics because there are some handy stores right there that aren't so close and accessible from home - Trader Joe's and Party City (which has some in handy for birthday parties recently, and a baby shower coming up next weekend for a friend who's about to adopt). And there's also a whole foods, which makes grocery shopping nice and easy.
Usually when I get back to gymnastics for the last 5-10 minutes, they are on the far side of the room, so it's hard to see, and even harder to get photos.
This Saturday was an exception.

Rosi is the one the teacher is helping in the very back.

Look who's 2!!!
Just realized this important post never actually posted...
It's hard to believe our sweet Carsen is already 2!
In the morning, Carsen went with me to Party City to pick up some party supplies while Rosi was at gymnastics. She had fun pulling everything off the shelves and trying on hats.
We gave her some fruits and vegetables for the play kitchen. They are wooden and each have two pieces that velcro together. Each set came with a wooden knife and cutting board, so she can "cut" the food in half.

We had a fun but busy weekend, and we celebrated her birthday with her friend CeCe who was born the day after Carsen. We played at the park and played with lots of bubbles!

Here's the cutie at her birthday party.
The party theme was "bubbles," and everyone seemed to enjoy that!
In the evening after the party, we opened a few gifts. Carsen got a sleeping bag and matching pillow from Iffy and Papa, so hopefully she can stop trying to steal Rosalyn's every time we go camping. Update 11/4/2014: She's been sleeping with the camp pillow every night since then.
