Findings
Carsen finds her thumb, and Rosalyn and Daddy find (fake) snow in Atlanta for sledding.
Hoping my colleague finds her missing sons: http://www.ajc.com/news/news/crime-law/amber-alert-issued-for-2-young-brother...

Froggie
Carsen enjoys playing with her frog from Mud, and here is big sister in her purple snowman dress.
Sweet smiles and sweaters
Thanks to Auntie Chica for the cute sweater. Carsen shared lots of sweet smiles when I put it on her.
Christmas 1
We had a great Christmas. Slept in a little, opened a few gifts with Rosalyn who thankfully was very sweet and excited, and spent time with family. We miss the family that wasn't here, but we enjoyed those that were. We tried not to overdo it with gifts and reinforced that the most important Christmas gifts are that God loves us, that we get to spend time with people we love, and we can do nice things for others. I was proud to see that instead of complaining about the things she didn't get, Rosalyn said "oh, this is a nice gift - I forgot to put this on my list" about the things she got that weren't on her list. In these photos - Carsen plays with her new toys, Rosalyn shows off her new puppets, the ornament Rosalyn made for us at daycare, and Auntie Chica reading about the little drummer boy.
Mini mom
Rosalyn loves imitating me as she "mothers" her babies. It's freaked me out a few times when this baby has been in a strange place or position because I've thought it was Carsen at first glance, like this time when the baby's sitting up in the Bumbo when I knew Carsen should have been napping in the bassinet.

Re-new
p584.mov Watch on Posterous
It's been on my sewing table for a while, and tonight I finally got around to adding this hand pouch in the front - not only did we salvage the jacket, but now Roz can hide her hands too!
Stone Mountain
We tried to take Rosalyn to "Snow Mountain" today, which is just an area at Stone Mountain with fake snow and sledding. However, you had to book tickets in advance and they were all sold out, so Corey is going to try to get tickets for next weekend instead.
But we did some hiking at Stone Mountain with our friend "The Dave", and then we enjoyed a show with Mrs. Santa and a sing-along train ride around the mountain.
All in all, a fun but exhausting day!

Snoozing
Isn't Carsen precious when she sleeps? Everyone thinks she's a boy, but I love this color blue on her. :)

Holidays sweets
Granny gave Rosalyn a cookie mix prepared inside a Christmas tree container. I was planning to help her make them on Christmas eve as cookies for Santa, but she couldn't wait, so we made them the other night and watched Home Alone. :)
And aren't these sisters sweet! Rosalyn dotes on Carsen, and Carsen already enjoyed watching her big sister admiringly. :)

And one more
Carsen enjoyed the Christmas program and was quite an angel. She seemed to enjoy the music and the lights on stage, and she sat quietly with me the whole time.
After the show, we got a quick family photo.

Flash oops
Tried to take a photo of Carsen asleep in front of the Christmas tree. Neither turned out great, but the stark difference between them with and without the flash js amusing!

Garden lights 2
Rosalyn also really enjoyed listening to the carolers. She kept wanting to stay for "one more song."
Garden lights 1
Photos from last nights visit to see Garden Lights, Holiday Nights at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. I was surprised that Carsen seemed to enjoy the lights as much as Rosalyn. I was carrying her in the wrap facing into me, and I had to turn her around because she was arching her head back so far to see the lights. ;)
Lights galore -
Here is our tree all lit up. And this little girl's smile can really light up a room!
