Squirrel presentation

Here's the squirrel presentation!

making us proud

Rosalyn just finished first grade, and we are so proud of her in many ways. She is growing into a fun, talented, and thoughtful young lady.

We recently went to get manicures and pedicures together because she has stopped biting her nails. This has been a challenge since she started school, and I promised her that once her fingernails got long enough for me to clip them, we could celebrate with mani-pedis. The new expander she got (orthodontics) a few months ago makes it hard for her to bite her nails, so we celebrated! She's even decided that she wants to clip her finger nails herself now.

Also very exciting was her first school presentation. It was about squirrels, and she works very hard on it with little help from her parents. She also had to bring a 3D prop for her presentation, so she built a squirrel habitat in a shoebox. If you have a hard time reading the information- don't be alarmed. The whole thing is in German!

out on the town

Katrice wanted to take the girls to see one of her sons' in a talent show, and it happened to be a night that he had tickets to the symphony, so we all had a night out on the town. The girls wanted to dress up in their fancy dresses.
