Carry on size

One of the many silly things done to keep Rosalyn happy/distracted during our flight delay in Salt Lake.

Feet

Rosalyn describes her feet after a week of camping...dirty!

Monkey-sighting at Yellowstone

Isn't that some cute wildlife!

Bison at Old Faithful

As we are waiting for Old Faithful, a bison wanders by right in front of us. (Better photo from camera to be posted later).

View from the plane

As we flew into Jackson.

View

Bison

The kind of traffic jam I could get used to. :)

More planes!

Airplanes!

We're headed to Yellowstone! Hopefully the rest of the trip will be fabulous too, but Rosalyn has already had tons of fun seeing planes at the airport. :)

Diva Princess

Now she's not only a diva with her superstar sunglasses, but she a princess diva. How soon is Halloween?

The funny thing to me is how well she adopts the attitude when she wears these things!

Diva and Dylan

Mom got Rosalyn some sunglasses - she loves them. She knows just how cool she looks in them too.

(Dylan is what I've names the new Jetta).

And another nap at home...

...At 6:30 pm. Why wouldn't she take a nap like this when we tried in the early afternoon???

Worn out

I guess she wore herself out too!
She was out before we even left the parking deck.

Pretty fishy

Rainy day at the aquarium

Rozi and I were going to spend an afternoon at the zoo today while Corey had Jeep time. Thanks to the rain, we ended up having a fun family afternoon at the aquarium. Roz had lots of run and wore Corey and me out!

At least she wasn't in them

These are a pair of Rosalyn's pants after Jezebel mistook them for a chew toy. Apparently, we don't monitor Jezzie's Interactions with Rozi's laundry basket as well as with Rozi herself - at least she wasn't in them!
(And glad we buy most of her clothes at consignment sales!)

Too cool

This will definitely cool you off on a hot day! Rosalyn thought she was sooo cool playing with Corey's sunglasses while we were at the VW dealership today. (Of course, we agreed!)

My asparagus garden!!!

I'm so excited, I can hardly contain it! The asparagus I've been planting over the last two weeks is starting to sprout. Check back in two years because I may have asparagus growing out the wazoo by then!

Big girl swing

The other day (when it wasn't yet 100 degrees outside), Rosalyn decided it was time for a promotion out of the baby swing.
She did really well on the big swing, but definitely wanted to do it all by herself!

Nursemaid's elbow

Late afternoon on the 4th, we had a brief trip to the ER because we thought Rosalyn's shoulder was dislocated. After the Peachtree was over and all of our out-of-town family had left, we were playing out in the yard. We were heading inside, and Corey was helping her up the stairs but ended up lifting her by one arm. When he set her down, she started screaming and wouldn't move her arm or let us touch it. We went straight to the ER, thinking how terrible it would be for her to have her arm in a sling while recovering from a dislocated shoulder. The ER was completely empty (fireworks hadn't started yet), and the doctor practically followed us into the exam room. He asked us a couple of questions, explained that he thought it was her elbow and not her shoulder, and popped it back in place before I could even ask how long her recovery would be. Aparantly nursemaid's elbow is a very common injury in 1-3 year olds, and
I almost didn't believe him when he said she wouldn't need any motrin, ice, recovery time, etc.
However, by the time he left the room (less than 5 minutes in there total), she had a smile on her face. By the time the person came in to complete our registration, she was being silly and cuddling her doll.
I'd rather not have any trips to the ER, but if we have to do it, I hope they'll all be an efficient and simple as that one.

Mine!

Roz likes to say "mine" about everything right now, and she gets random attachments to the thing-of-the-moment. So much so that she has ended up sleeping with the thing-of-the-moment several times lately. Here, it's a book - other times it's been a spatula, doll, her purse, a ball, the mask for her breathing treatments, etc.

Car shopping is a drag

Well, not for me, but Rosalyn thinks it's quite soporific. :)

Baby dolls

Happy July 4th! Rosalyn has her first baby doll, courtesy of my Aunt Janie. She and Dolan (my counsin's daughter) sat together to show off their baby dolls during our July 4th celebration after the Peachtree.

Fashionista

Roz definitely has her own sense of style!

Blueberries

Rosalyn and Sophia share a snack of fresh picked blueberries - yum!
