Day 2: Vegas

Today we were ready and out the door at 8am local time, so we scored a great breakfast spot with only a 15 minute wait. As we were leaving, I think the wait was 1.5 hours. It came highly recommend and was very good, but the pancakes weren't quite large enough in my opinion.

After breakfast, we walked through Ceasar's Palace, which didn't hold much excitement for us. We explored a few other hotels and shops along The Strip. Rosalyn was entertained by the street entertainers (especially the ones that pose like statues) as well as some of the homeless people, but she sometimes had trouble telling them apart.
Corey took the older two into a shark aquarium at Mandalay Bay, then we went in the High roller, a fully enclosed Ferris wheel type of ride that took us up 550 feet to see Vegas from a different angle.

Rosi was excited to see our hotel in the distance.

The girls loved watching the planes land at the airport.

In the middle of this picture are the fountains at Bellagio, which has a fun water show to music. We plan to check that out this evening.

Teagan's view was more limited, but she was pretty cozy and happy.

We had a nice view of the location for our next attraction...

Rosi and I are about to enjoy the Cirque du Soleil show "Love," which is all set to Beatles music.

Day 1: Tired kiddos

Last night after checking into our hotel, we decided to head out and find a place to eat dinner. 8pm Vegas time, 11pm Eastern. Teagan and Carsen had napped earlier in the day and did fine, but Rosi fell asleep at Maggiano's.

Day 1: Vegas!

We made it to Las Vegas for the first leg of our trip! The plane ride was good but a little bumpy.

All ready to go! Thanks Iffy and Papa for helping us finish packing and driving to the airport!

We were behind this Odyssey from Nevada with a license plate saying "Go long" - it seemed fitting that the first leg of our long odyssey out west was stopping in Nevada. :)

Don't let her fool you, this cutie did NOT sleep most of the time - she wasn't too cranky, but she was pretty active and required a lot of entertaining.

Carsen sat with Daddy and her baby.

Last day of daycare

Today was the last day of daycare for Carsen and Teagan, so it was a very bittersweet day. We will miss everyone but look forward to the new adventures ahead.
We took a few photos on the bench by the playground.

Carsen haircut cuteness

We needed a little trim.

And we got a braid too!

Teagan finally started playing with Charlie at daycare. It's been a running joke the last few months that Charlie always reaches for and tries to play with Teagan at daycare, but she plays hard to get. She interacts with the other kids but always ignores Charlie. In her last couple days at daycare, she finally started interacting with Charlie. :)

The Nanny

Rosalyn found out today who our nanny will be. She couldn't be happier!

Watch out! Rosi is a champion Uno player, and she really know how to pack a punch.

Last day of Kindergarten

Some of the families at school have a tradition of meeting at McDonalds for breakfast on the last day of school.
I wasn't thrilled about the choice of venue, but we joined them and had fun!

I call them "the crazies"

Festival

Corey took the older girls to a festival nearby with fun rides.
