What happens when little witches self-combust due to heat? Apparently they become ballerinas. Carsen and Teagan bailed on the witch costumes because they were too hot for this balmy 89 degree Halloween!

no more crib
It's a big change in our house - the crib us up in the article, and Teagan is sleeping on her mattress on the floor. Corey is planning to build bunk beds for Teagan and Carsen to share a room soon. As I was trying this point, she woke up and walked right out of her room, for the first time since she started sleeping on her mattress about a week ago... or at least I think it's the first time!
solar astronomy
There was a solar agronomy event at Arabia Mountain on Saturday - one of my favorite places. Rosi is into astronomy, so I decided to take her and Carsen while Corey studied and Teagan napped. Well Rosi's socks didn't feel right, so she decided to stay home while Carsen and I had fun looking straight at the sun (through a telescope with a proper filter), finding salamanders, and walking on the nature paths.
eagle tickets
Rosi's school is using "Eagle tickets" to reward good behavior. She had earned about 5 so far this year, but the other day she came home with two full sheets. She said that her teacher told her that she's so well-behaved all the time that she probably doesn't get rewarded often enough. I'm pretty sure I was never told that growing up, and I'm quite confident that Corey wasn't either!
I can do it!
Corey is building us some bench seats for the dining area, and they double as a great stool to help Teagan enjoy her favorite past-time.
apple picking
We went apple picking wth Rosi's Girl Scout troop. It was as fun as it could be doing fall activities while it's still 90 degrees!
field trip 2
Rosi also had a field trip recently to the World of Coca Cola. She had fun and told me that she only tasted a few sodas in the tasting room because she knew it would be unhealthy to drink a lot. I intentionally didnt say anything to her about it before the field trip, but I guess I've ingrained it in her brain enough!

Katrice took Carsen and Teagan on an adventure to visit a temple / mosque. I have no idea what this is, but it looks beautiful.

Rosi's class made these cute snacks to celebrate red ribbon week and making healthy choices.
