Sweet monkey - with photo

P87

Sweet monkey

I'm away at a conference and missing out on the Halloween festivities, but Corey just sent me this photo - they'll go to an event at the neighborhood park, then hit a couple houses for trick-or-treating.
I sure do with I could squeeze that sweet little monkey. I might make her dress up again when I get home later this week!

Rosalyn has relocated

P77

... To her tent in the sunroom. She seems to sleep well in there, but is sure does make it hard to clean the kitchen after she goes to bed. :)

Life of the party

A few weeks ago, we had dinner with some friends at a nearby restaurant, and they had live music playing. Everyone was enjoying the music while eating, but Rosalyn wanted to dance. Pretty sure a table of ladies sitting right next to the band decided she was having so much fun, they wanted to join in. Before you know it, there were 20+ people out there dancing. We had a blast!
Some of the photos are a little blurry due to the movement, but it just shows how much fun we were having!

Hiking

We went hiking a few weeks ago with some great friends. It was a beautiful day.

Park time

Iffy and Papa visited this weekend, and we spent some time at the park on Sunday afternoon. Rosalyn enjoyed the swing with Papa, and entertained us all with some lovely singing while she pranced around the picnic table where we ate lunch.

God made me FANTASTIC!

Waumba Land (the preschool environment at church) made these shirts that say "God made me fantastic" to go along with their theme and verse for the month in Psalms that "I am wonderfully made".
She is pretty darn fantastic.

Growing big

P164

I've been marking Rosalyn's height on the door frame to her closet every few months. It makes her very proud now to see how she's grown. Recently, Rosalyn desired that she needed to track Elmo's height too. For a stuffed monster, Elmo sure has had a growth spurt. :)

Child star

Rosalyn loves hanging out with all of the other volunteers at church - she's quite the little star among the group.

Garden friends

I'm slightly more fond of birds and butterflies, but these little snakes I found in the garden over the weekend were pretty cute. Unless it's poisonous, I'd much rather encounter a snake than roaches.

Hard workin little lady

Rosalyn was quite a hard worker this weekend. On Friday evening, she helped carry the long boards for our new garden bed frames to the backyard. On Sunday, outfitted with a tool belt and all, she helped build the frames. She also used her shovel and wheelbarrel to move wood chips back to the garden area.
She is one fine helper!

Busy weekend

P123

We had a busy weekend! Roz fell asleep on the way to go hiking on Saturday afternoon. I guess a full morning at the farmers market and a visit from an out-of-town friend was too much for her. She took a short nap in the car then enjoyed hiking, playing and having dinner with some friends in the evening. By the end of the day, Corey and I were pretty worn out too!

Forgot to post the best pictures from surgery...

P113

I thought I posted these, but it looks like they didn't make it up. This is right before the surgery when she's all dopey and adorable. :)

Going on 13

Last weekend we got home from some errands, and Rosalyn wanted to play in the car while I did a few things in the yard. She often likes to climb into the driver's seat and pretend to drive.
This time she had other things in mind, mainly digging through the glove compartment for a tube of lip gloss and putting on this face.
I was too amused to scold her.

Dead tired

Tonight I had to do some work in the office while Corey and Rosalyn were in the living room before bedtime. Taffy was lounging on a blanket just inside the pantry, and Rosalyn announced that she wanted to sit with taffy and pet her.
A few quiet minutes later, Corey decided to investigate what kind of mischief she must be getting into. This is what he found... Rosalyn asleep on the floor of the pantry with Taffy watching over her.
I guess our busy lady ran put of steam. Easiest bedtime ever!
