Sweetwater Creek state park

The day before Rosi turned 8, we turned in her GA state parks junior ranger book to her the Level 1 badge (for 6-7 year olds). The girls and I went to Sweetwater Creek state park to enjoy the day while Corey studied.

happy birthday Rosi!

Rosi celebrated her 8th birthday with a backyard campout. We had s'mores instead of birthday cake.

They played campfire charades, and every single girl slept in the tent, in spite of the cold.

Rosi requested mac and cheese for dinner, and Clint and Mary Alston were happy to help me cook 8 boxes of mac and cheese!

big girl bikes and baby strollers

These sisters love each other and take such good care of each other most of the time. Rosi and Carsen love tucking Teagan into bed now that she's not in a crib. Teagan is teetering between big girl and baby. At Macon state, she was excited to ride the big girls' bike, but at home she had a blast squeezing herself into a babydoll stroller to be pushed around by the big sisters.

visiting a favorite place

After visiting Fernbank with Amy and Dolan, we all drove to Macon to visit Iffy, Papa, and Granny.
Rosi and Carsen consider any trip to Macon without feeding the ducks at Macon state to be incomplete, so we tried to do that on Sunday before heading home. We couldn't find any ducks or geese that day, but Teagan loved the experience too, and will likely join the chorus of "please mom, we have to go there before we drive home - it won't take very long."

Fernbank

We got to visit Fernbank with Dolan and Amy. In addition to the regular exhibits, they also had a science fair with local college students helping the kids with interactive science activities.

They got to hold a cow's heart.

Carsen collected stickers

Chemistry lab

They have a great new nature walk that Teagan loved.

Like old times

We had an impromptu play date and sleepover with some of our favorite people at their new home!

Teagan

Teagan was thrilled to be the beneficiary of her sisters' Halloween haul.

Katrice tries to help them pick up their toys in the afternoon and puts any toys left out in a trash bag for them to earn back. One day recently Teagan wanted to be the toy left out.
