Easter eggs

On Friday. Aunt Megan came over to have dinner and dye some Easter eggs. On Saturday, we went to an Easter egg hunt at the church where Roz attends daycare.

More photos to follow from the camera. :)

Deep theological concepts

According to Rosalyn's theology, the trinity is comprised of God, Jesus and Santa Claus. Oh, and we need to get another Christmas tree because the Easter bunny is coming soon.

And more Disney....

Rosalyn was SOOOOOO excited to see Mickey and Minnie

...and where the princesses live...

... and all of the Disney characters dancing on stage.

Yay!

I think we rode the carosel 7 times - it was fun, but it was also one of the only rides that didn't have a long wait.

Too cute. :)

Manners and bedtime birthday celebrating

Rosalyn is such a character.

We have been working on manners - asking for things with words instead of whining, and asking for things in requests instead of making demands, saying please, etc. Rosalyn often starts with a demand or whine, we ignore her or correct her, and she quickly formulates that into a nice request.
Tonight, she made me properly request a hug... and then she made me wait for it. I did actually request the hug politely in the first place, but she made a point of telling me to use my words and ask nicely. I was tempted to be frustrated, but she was so darn cute. She loves to be bossy (I know this will come as a big surprise to my mother), so I'm trying to figure out a balance modeling the polite request with making her understand that she has to obey her parents. She is such a great imitator, I am constantly made aware of how my behavior is a model for her, for good and bad.

Also tonight... it was someone's birthday (though I'm still not quite sure whose). It must have been someone important, because we had to really celebrate. Rosalyn prepared a birthday cake in her kitchen, then we had to sing happy birthday several times and sit down at the table to eat cake. Then she wanted to make another cake to celebrate again. I did explain to her that tomorrow is Uncle Ryan's birthday, and she's very excited to call and sing to him. And she's super exited that daddy's birthday is in a few weeks. I told her she could help me make a real cake for daddy, so that should be interesting... :)

Cute photos from Orlando

Here are just some other cute photos from our trip. We were so worn out after the long drive and late night at Disney, that we spent the second day hanging around the hotel and going to the pool. I had just gotten my new camera, so it was fun playing around and taking photos of Roz.

More disney

More photos from our first night at Disney. We drove in from Savannah, went straight to Disney and stayed there for the electrical parade. Rosalyn had a blast watching the parade!

Cinderella

When we finally got back to the hotel, it was close to midnight and she was passed out across our entire bed.

Thank you father

Rosalyn has learned this blessing in our church's kid classes and came home singing it today. I guess this will be our family meal blessing from now on.
She came home a few weeks ago and told me that "God said Jesus wants to be my friend forever." Soooo cute!

Side note: I know Easter is coming up. No one should feel a need to give Easter presents, but if you can't contain yourself, please consider giving stickers instead of candy. Candy will just go to work with Corey, and stickers are a big hit with Roz right now!
