Carsen Halloween

Carsen's Halloween plans didnt change too much. Wear a cute onesie and nurse a lot.

Pre-party

Even though Halloween is a bust today, at least Rosalyn got to enjoy it some last weekend at a costume birthday party for her friend. She got to dress up, jump on the trampoline and roast a huge marshmallow.

Pneumonia update

Roz didnt feel like wearing her costume, so its laying next to her in the bed. She is tired and resting now. Nurse is starting another antibiotic. Still waiting on viral culture results. Sometime later tomorrow (probably not morning) they'll try taking the oxygen level down a little to see if she can maintain her levels better by then on a lower dose. No food until the oxygen level is low enough to get the oxygen through the nasal cannula instead of the face mask.

Halloween ICU

For anyone who doesn't know, Rosalyn is spending Halloween in the ICU. She's been having more asthma flare ups again, and it got really bad this morning. Corey brought her to the ER. She has pneumonia and is requiring 50% oxygen through the mask just to keep her pulse ox in an acceptable range.
They said we can bring the monkey costume and still let her dress up. Not sure how trick-er-treating works with possibly contagious kids all hooked up to monitors, but I guess we'll find out soon.

One month

Carsen has officially been with us for one month - time flies! The photo with the turquoise shirt was just the other day, but the other two are a little older. She's changed a lot in the last week - very alert and starting to really follow you with her eyes.
