Disney wonderland

Finally posting some photos from Disney. We had a very hectic week-and-a-half after we got home, so I'm just starting to catch up...
Here we are at the entrance - Rosalyn was very proud of her "First visit" button.

Our first ride was lots of fun (the People Mover), but we got stuck for a while. Luckily, we got to watch Goofy and Pluto putting on a show below. Then they had to come guide us out of the ride on foot because it was completely broken.

Rosalyn and I rode the teacup ride

Rosalyn and Corey played on the vegetable garden drums while waiting for the Pooh ride.

We finally got to see Mickey and Minnie in the electrical parade!

Feeding Peter Rabbit

Most of the photos from our trip are still on my camera, but I hope to get them posted this weekend. In the meantime, here's a photo of Rosalyn feeding Peter Rabbit from her sippy cup on the long drive.

Piano

Rosalyn and Aunt Janie put on a concert.

Travel

We are in Orlando and went to Disney last night. All of the Disney photos were taken on my fancy new camera but I forgot to bring the cable to load them on the computer, so those will have to wait until we get home. Here are two pictures from the visit to Oatland Island, a wildlife preserve in Savannah. Corey and Rosalyn went with Aunt Jamie and Aunt Donna to see some animals and a sheep shearing.

Coyote time

This weekend we went to the Center for Puppetry Arts and saw a puppet show called Coyote Sings. Rosalyn had lots of fun and enjoyed overseeing daddy and mama make the coyote puppet in the craft room.

Busy ladies continued

Rosalyn fell asleep in the car before we even pulled out of the parking lot at the consignment sale. Not surprising, we'd already had a busy day!
We drove to Roswell because we had plans to meet some friends for an afternoon snack. We got there early, so Roz could finish her nap while I read a book in the car. Our friends arrived with perfect timing right as Roz woke up. I had told Rosalyn that morning that we were going to a tea house. I'm not sure how well she understood, but she was very excited about it all morning (mama, are we going to the tea house now???), and it didn't disappoint.
She felt like a big girl getting to help pour her "apple tea" (aka apple juice) out of the tea pot and then drinking from the big-girl teacup.
After the tea house, we went to surprise Aunt Megan at work (she works in that area), and they were both very excited. Then we stopped to see daddy at work on the way home. The last two photos are from daddy's office.
Wow - what a day!

Artist in training

Rosalyn loves doing crafts. Here are some of the February highlights that she brought home from daycare.

Busy ladies

Rosalyn's daycare was closed Friday for a teacher training, so Mama and Rosi had a big day together.
First, Rosalyn wanted to eat my toast for breakfast, which left a lovely smear of jam across her face. Then she went to a meeting at work with me. We took lots of toys and distractions, and she did great. She felt so important sitting at the conference table, and everyone was so amazed at how adorable and well-behaved she was. After the meeting, we met Erinleigh and Eli for brunch. It was lots of fun, and Rosalyn wanted to sit as close to Eli as possible.
After brunch, we went to mama's favorite kid consignment sale. They have lots of great clothes, but I usually go by myself while Roz is at daycare. She wanted to spend the whole time pulling books out of their boxes, and she got pretty cranky when I wanted to look at clothes. I picked out a few nice things, then room my grumpy, nap-ready toddler to the toy room. We found a new cookie monster to replace the one Jezebel ate a fee weeks ago. We also got a piano just like rosalyn's for our neighbor Ansley, who loves banging on the piano. The whole experience was a little grumpy, but we made it out alive and very ready for a nap in the car on the way to our next adventure.

More stories and photos of our day to come...

Late night delirium and silliness

This weekend we had dinner with some other families, and it ended up being a slightly late night. As the other kids nodded off at our friend's house, Rosalyn became increasingly energized and silly. And, oh yeah, we had skipped her afternoon nap. She was pretty zany and started this silly game with our friend Joe.
Who needs dinner and a movie when kids are so darn entertaining. :)

(PS. Trouble today with asthma means she's back on oral steroids for the rest of this week. Now that it not so cute and entertaining)
